Here at The Ship we are planning a truly relaxing Christmas. Stay in one of our cosy bedrooms and spend your days enjoying the beautiful winter countryside and coastline, before returning to open fires and festive treats. Our unique blend of informal hospitality and the surroundings will ensure that you can really relax, unwind and enjoy the perfect festive break.

Prices are based on two people sharing and include: Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas Day lunch, Christmas Day buffet, Boxing Day dinner (3 night package only), breakfast and VAT.

Christmas Eve

Arriving on Christmas Eve you will be treated to homemade mince pies and mulled wine to get you in the Christmas spirit, followed by a delicious dinner.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day starts with breakfast and then we leave you to decide the best way to spend your morning, either relaxing with us or maybe a long winter walk along the beach before heading back for a traditional Christmas Day lunch and maybe a few Christmas games? The evening will be yours again with the kitchen providing a buffet for when you start to feel a little peckish.

Boxing Day

Boxing Day kicks off with a hearty breakfast and could be a day to explore the Suffolk Heritage Coast? Then back to The Ship for evening dinner and drinks in the bar to finish a memorable Christmas on the Suffolk coast.

New Year's Eve in Dunwich

If large parties, discos until 3am and a band that sounds like they only play once a year is not your thing then perhaps you should join for us New Year’s Eve at The Ship. We like to celebrate New Year by doing what we do best: creating a relaxed, informal atmosphere with cosy bedrooms, great food, beer and wine and our friendly team on hand to make sure you slip into 2013 with just the right amount of celebration and minimum fuss.

Our New Year’s Eve celebration will start with drinks in the bar and then on to a lovely meal created by our kitchen team from the best produce Suffolk has to offer. We then take a lantern lit walk down to the beach to release wish lanterns with hot drinks and treats on offer to keep us warm and in the spirit. It’s then back to the bar to welcome in the New Year with a glass of champagne, Auld Lang Syne and a night cap or two before heading off to bed.
