Welcome to The Ship a cosy pub in Dunwich, Suffolk
The Ship at Dunwich gives you everything you might be looking for from a traditional Suffolk pub and a lot more. Once a haunt of smugglers, The Ship is now a great place to eat, drink, relax and get away from it all. The service is friendly, there is a great selection of real ales, the atmosphere is welcoming to regulars and visitors alike and when the weather turns the gently crackling open fires ensure a cosy night in at the pub!
Colin, our chef, has been at The Ship for 17 years, and is justly famous for his fish and chips - but there's plenty more to enjoy on The Ship's menu: steak and ale pie, lamb, pea and mint casserole, bread and butter pudding, chocolate roly poly and much more, all of which can be accompanied by good wines at sensible prices, or proper beers and ales.
That’s what we stand for - good, honest, top quality pub food and a great selection of real ales. Choose to eat in the bar, the conservatory, our lovely garden or, in the evening, the dining room with its scrubbed pine tables and sisal matting
Just two minutes from the dramatic Suffolk beach with the ruins of the medieval port of Dunwich below the waves, the Ship Inn is probably one of the best pubs in Suffolk.
