Every summer, bright and early on an early July Sunday morning we eagerly await the arrival of cyclists participating in the Dunwich Dynamo, an unsupported ride organised by "Cyclists in Southwark."

 

Starting around 8pm to 9pm on Saturday night, riders embark on the challenging journey from Pub on the Park, Martello Street, London to Dunwich on the Suffolk coast. After a gruelling overnight ride spanning approximately 120 miles, cyclists typically reach Dunwich Beach between 5am and 9am the following morning.

 

We open our doors at 3am, ready to welcome weary rides with breakfast baps and refreshingly cold pints! Our Field Bar hastily serves drinks to thirsty riders and the kitchen will be busy serving breakfast in the garden.
